The Monastery of Saint Naum is a Macedonian Orthodox monastery. It is named after the medieval Macedonian writer and enlightener Saint Naum who founded it. The monastery was established in 905 by St Naum of Ohrid himself.
St. Naum was among the disciples of Cyril and Methodius and is associated with the creation of the Glagolitic and Cyrillic script.

  4. In Ohrid and the surrounding region, the name Naum is still commonly given to boys in honor of the saint.
